What is invoice factoring?

  • In simple terms

    1. Seller sells goods or services to a business (buyer)

    2. Seller issues an invoice to the buyer, payable within 60 days

    3. Seller sends us the invoice requesting to be paid early

    4. We verify and approve the invoice with the buyer

    5. We purchase the invoice and immediately pay the supplier 80-100% of the invoice amount

    6. The buyer pays us the invoice amount 60 days later

    7. We pay seller the remaining invoice amount (minus a small discount)

    Example

    Invoice value: $50,000

    Advance rate: 80%

    Upfront funding: $40,000

The remaining $10,000 is released once the invoice is paid, less fees agreed upon

The invoice itself is the primary security for the financing, but we could ask for additional collateral depending on customers credit quality.
